Hello strangers
Hi everyone, I know I haven't written a post in ages, I've got a spare few minutes so I thought why not check in with the blog and let you know how all of my exams are going and what my plans are, plus a story that went all over the news a few weeks ago.
Okay so I have done 2 exams so far, the maths that I had was C2 which I knew would be my easiest exam as it was an AS maths paper. So after coming out of that exam I was feeling good and I then had to think forward to my first chemistry exam which was last week. The exam went well however beforehand I was getting some really bad anxiety, in my head I was just thinking what if it doesn't go as well as last year, then I told myself I've had a year to learn how to spot and correct my mistakes I have to do better this year. This week I have my chemistry 2 paper and I am feeling ready, last year this was one of my weakest papers, but... this year I've been feeling really strong on my organic chemistry and feel confident when I'm doing the questions. If all goes well tomorrow I'll be a very happy girl and only have one chemistry paper left. For any of you out there doing your exams at the moment, just think to yourself you're going to do amazing you can do it you deserve it and they'll go amazing, I wish you all the best of luck.
This summer I have a few trips planned, so I'm flying up to Edinburgh on the day of my last exam, I'm going up with my boyfriend so that we can chill for 3 days and it's going to be so nice because I wont have to worry about anything I'll just be able to relax and switch off. I actually can't wait because at the moment I am so stressed all the time. Then I wont be going out of the country until late July where I'm going to Spain for a week and a bit which should be lovely and I can't wait for that either and finally at the very end of the summer I'm going on a 7 day yacht tour around the Croatian islands by split which should be absolutely phenomenal and I am sooo excited for that trip. Then from there I'll be starting university.
So the story I saw in the news a few weeks ago was about the dachshund dog that had to be deflated by vets, you may or may not have seen this in the papers but I caught my eye because it was made such a big thing and its something that I've seen fist hand at one of my work experience placements. In the news story this dog had a large amount of air under its skin due to a hole in its oesophagus which had made air tracks all the way to the skin so that every time the dog inhaled air would go straight to under its' skin. Now the case I saw was not as severe as this one where the skin was all inflated however I know how painful this must have been for the dog, the case I saw was a terrier that had run onto a stick on his morning walk and it had perforated his oesophagus, this dog was screaming in pain with every movement it was so hard to watch, his owner kept trying to move him and cuddle him which though it helped her it didn't help the dog he was in so much pain. The vet found it very difficult to diagnose what was wrong with this dog because nothing showed up with the endoscope or on x-rays, in the end the dog was sent to a specialist clinic where it was found that the hole was in the oesophagus and every time this dog breathed and air track was being made through its muscles down its' back and between the shoulder blades, this dog must have been in so much pain however the hole was stitched up and the dog was fine after recovery. Let me just say this though, these two cases are reasons for you not to throw sticks for your dogs, they have the ability to hurt the dogs so severally that it is not worth it. always throw a ball rather than a stick.
So that's all for this week I hope to be able to post some time before I finish my exams but i'll have to see how it all goes. I hope that you all have a wonderful time until the next time I post and that everything works out for you, remember to smile and be happy because who knows smiling at a person in the street could make their day. Till next time.
