Police Rescue 100 Dogs

Hello hello so this week main story that I saw all over the vet times was the raid on a vet practice and animal shelter called  4 Paws Veterinary Clinic in South Killingholme, Lincolnshire. Carried out by the police with RSPCA  and Dogs Trust officers as well.

This raid was carried out with a warrant as members  vers of the public and investigators had been making more claims about these constituencies. During the raid it is said that around 100 dogs were rescued. They were taken into the many dog ambulances waiting outside the practice to take them to an establishment where they could be checked over, and cared for in sanitary conditions.

I quote from the chief inspector Ian Briggs of the RSPCA “.The animals are all being moved into a safe, secure environment, where they will be cared for, treated for any ailments and monitored for any infectious diseases.”and from the police investigator We and our colleagues at the RSPCA are carrying out an intel-led operation at an animal rescue organisation in Killingholme.
“At this stage, we cannot confirm any further details, as the investigation is ongoing.” as you can see from this no further information has been released as to why this raid has taken place as the investigation is still ongoing.

It is not everyday that we get news stories like this. Which is such a good thing however when we do get stories like this it shows how these animal welfare charities and the police can work together to potential save hundreds of animals lives. I am going to follow up on this story when more details are given out and I’ll let you know. It’s worrying to think about this practice because on their website they marketed themselves as “ 4 Paws [has] been established for 12 years. Based in South Killingholme, Lincolnshire, we offer a range of services for your pets, including a low-cost veterinary service in our bespoke veterinary clinic.
“We also offer boarding kennels, dog transportation, and dog rescue and adoption.”which obviously wasn’t the case and members of the public with concerns really did the right thing. If you have any concerns about your veterinary practice that are well founded don’t hesitate to tell someone be it the police or the RSPCA. Because as shown they do act on serious cases like this one.

Thank you so much for reading I hope you enjoyed. No doubt you’ve already read this story in the actual veterinary news sites but oh well. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Remember to be happy and keep smiling. I’ll see you next week.
